Calendula has a long history as use as a medicine and seemed to be used in west and east.  Traditionally Calendula was used to treat stomach upsets, relieve menstrual cramps, swollen glands, tooth ache and skin issues.

Today, the dried flowers of the Calendula plant are used in tinctures, infused oils, ointments/balm, creams and washes to treat skin injuries, such as burns, bruises, and cuts.
